Salary-setting appraisals – an introduction for managers (in English)
For salary-setting managers who manage SACO-affiliated employees.
Since 2018, all SACO-affiliated employees at Lund University are informed about their new salaries resulting from the annual salary review at a salary-setting appraisal at which the new salary is agreed. In the salary-setting appraisal, the salary-setting manager, together with the employee, discusses the employee’s performance over the past year and based on this, informs the employee about their new salary.
Target group
This course is aimed at salary-setting managers at Lund University who manage SACO-affiliated employees and who have not completed training on the topic.
Aim
The aim of the course is to provide managers with a theoretical understanding of the process and to provide them with practical tools to carry out a salary-setting appraisal.
Admission requirements
There are no special requirements for taking the course. Participants are expected to have read Lund University’s pay policy programme and to have reflected on how salary-setting takes place in practice within their organisation.
